OSMAC Northern Australia Beach 5’s Rugby Championships
BEACH 5’s Northern Australia Championship is an annual event in its sixth year. Townsville presents an ongoing experience like no other—in 2024, we “Gift a Beach to The Strand” to the local community.
We are delivering 250 tons of quality clean river sand to refurbish and profile the entire beach arena, which will allow Beach 5s Day / Night games to be run under lights.
Beach 5s is a contact sport of tackle, modified rules of Rugby League / Rugby Union, no scrums / no line outs, on a pitch that measures 31m x 25m – “Five” players in the field of play – up to “Seven” reserves with unlimited interchange.
Our Northern Australia event is open to all! Register a Premier 5s or social team or come and cheer from the sidelines (free entry for spectators). Fun for all ages, from U12 Juniors to Men’s and Women’s.
