Airnorth adds regular jet services to Groote Eylandt
Airnorth is excited to announce their jet fleet will now operate air services between Darwin and Groote Eylandt commencing Monday, 9 August 2021. The enhanced jet service will operate as a part of Airnorth’s regularly scheduled departures out of Darwin every Monday and Friday with same day return.
By upgrading this route to the 76-seat jet aircraft, Airnorth has added an extra 184 seats return each week between Darwin and Groote Eylandt. The benefits of the jet enable Airnorth to provide more reliability, faster flight times, greater access to promotional airfares and the opportunity for customers to enjoy additional checked-in and carry-on baggage allowances.
“We are excited to resume jet services to one of our more remote communities and provide more stability to our flight schedule after what has been a challenging 16 months,” said Airnorth CEO Daniel Bowden.
“We are proud to operate to Groote Eylandt daily and with the jet flying two times a week, it will allow greater opportunity for connectivity to major hubs such as Darwin and beyond.”
To celebrate we have released special sale fares on these additional jet services – available for a limited time only. For those wishing to explore a truly unique part of the world or simply visit their loved ones, now is the time to book.
