Airnorth responds with an ‘essential services 30-day flying program’

Airnorth, the Northern Territory’s home-grown airline, has for over 41 years remained steadfast and committed to the communities we fly to and from. True to our Territorian roots, we are an airline that has proven to be resilient, determined and dependable.

In response to border force regulations, remote community restrictions and the effect this has had on commercial air travel, Airnorth, with the proud support of the Northern Territory Government, has released a new flying program that enables us to maintain essential scheduled services to a number of Territory communities that include Elcho Island, Milingimbi, Maningrida, Gove and along the Centre Run; Katherine, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs.

“A huge thanks must go the NT Government for their quick reaction and provision of this support for the month of April,” said CEO Daniel Bowden. “Together we will continue to work towards a longer-term support solution so we can continue to provide these essential services throughout the coronavirus downturn.”

The essential flying program will include regular weekday services between many of our Northern Territory destinations along with flights connecting to Broome, Cairns, Kununurra and Townsville. To review our complete schedule please go to www.airnorth.com.au.
