
Seafood & Meat
Fish/Seafood and meat can be carried as checked baggage providing:
- it is completely frozen and is in a container such as an esky which will keep it frozen
- no water ice is used
- the items are sealed and doubled wrapped in plastic so containers do not leak during the flight
Dry Ice may be used as a refrigerant. If Dry Ice is used as a refrigerant, the container must be ventilated in quantities not exceeding 2.5kg per person.
Checked baggage must be marked “dry ice”, “carbon monoxide” or “solid” and the number of Dry Ice kilos also marked. Fish/seafood or meat cannot be accepted as carry-on baggage due to possible odours. Compliance & Quarantine Restrictions that may exist on the entry of these items is responsibility of the passenger.
